Love From Above

I once was just a little girl
With not the slightest care,
About the problems in the world
Or clothes that I would wear.

I never knew what life was like
Without the Lord quite near,
I never tried to err for spite
And hurt my Lord so dear.

I'm older now, and wiser too
Of worldly things today,
Without my Lord, I could not do
What others take for "aye".

So many people hurt within
And I'm among the many,
It's hard to know where to begin
When you feel not worth a penny.

I never blame a thing on God
HE only shows us love,
And though it's rough, the path we trod
'Tis guidance from above.
